Fall 2010 East Asian Languages Placement Exam Schedule


NOTE: Make-up exam registration can be accessed here.

Chinese Placement Exam:  Friday, August 27th from 9-11:30 in 2 Divinity, Room 18

Japanese Placement Exam:  Friday, August 27th from 9-11 in CGIS-S, Tsai Auditorium (1738 Cambridge Street)

Korean Placement Exam:  Friday, August 27th from 9-11 in Vanserg, Room 29

Vietnamese Placement Exam:  Friday, August 27th from 9-11 in 5 Bryant Street, seminar room.

Students who wish to take an East Asian Placement exam are required to sign up between July 15, 2009 and August 26, 2010 for the placement exam here.  Non-Harvard students please email eal@fas.harvard.edu with your name, school affiliation, your school ID number, and which language exam you would like to take.

Students must bring their Harvard ID or a photo-ID to take a placement exam.

Course placement will be posted on the bulletin boards at 2 Divinity Avenue and at 5 Bryant Street approximately 48 hours after the exam, and the FAS Registrar's Office will receive all exam results for student records.

We are unable to give out placement exam results over the telephone or by email.

PLEASE NOTE: The literary Chinese assessment (for both first and second year) will take place on Friday, August 27 from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. in Room 212, 2 Divinity Ave. Students who wish to take the assessment should sign up in advance with Chen Zhang (czhang@fas.harvard.edu).
